The weather is very nice. Mid 70s days. High 50s nights. No rain so fair but they had a huge thunderstorm the night before we arrived.
At least in Baghdad, we stand out as tourists because we are somewhat underdressed. Lots of black skinny jeans. We saw three guys working in cafes wearing 'Texas' t-shirts. Lots of highly coiffed hair.
The above mostly references the male population. We saw no females working at any of the cafes or markets. Most of the women are wearing some form of burka but it is not mandatory. We did see a very few very stylishly dressed young ladies.
Along with shisha, smoking inside is fine - everywhere.
Almost all Arabic tv at the hotel. BBC is available but for some reason has no sound. Pandora music is only available using a VPN but that's all so far. Still playing Wordle every morning.
March 20 is the 20 year anniversary of the 2nd Gulf War. Expect to see 'Iraq Today' news. I read something from FT last night. (Search Iraq: 20 years on)
Western bathroom facilities are fairly standard but squat toilets out there. Enough said.
