Baghdad

After what seemed like several long days of travel - Nantucket to Boston, Boston to JFK, JFK to Doha and finally Doha to Baghdad - I arrived safe and sound late Thursday evening. Everything went according to plan and generally without issue.

[Note to all: Believe me when I say, I did take all of your safety concerns to heart. Thank you. And the tragic events in Mexico didn't help my general pre-trip anxiety. Needless to say, I didn't sleep my last night in the US not much on the flight over]

I met up with one of our group members in Doha. And several others at the airport in Baghdad. We are a very eclectic group of like-minded travellers who mostly have traveled with Derek before and trust and sing his praises. This is my first Wandering Earl experience - but my research suggested the same. And yes, - yes, Wandering Earl Tours is really Derek)
